Friday 6th of July 2007. Thousands of die-hard Ozzy Osbourne fans travelled from far and wide to see theΜύ legendary rocker be presented with the first star of Broad Street's 'Walk of Stars'.  Ozzy! Ozzy! they chanted Fans said that they had waited for hours just so that they could catch a glimpse of their hero. As they waited a selection of Ozzy's songs were blasted at high volume into Centenary Square. On his arrival Ozzy was bombarded by fans and press. Then he made his way to the stage where he was presented with a star plaque, before his Birmingham 'Walk of Stars' star was unveiled.  Ozzy arrives in Centenary Square On stage the day was named "Ozzy Osbourne Day" by the Lord Mayor. Ozzy thanked the crowd for coming and said that he is going to come back and visit his home town more often. Even though the whole presentation only lasted a few minutes the atmosphere was electric. It seemed enough to satisfy the Ozzy hungry fans who are now on their way to see him perform at the NIA tonight.
