Based in Digbeth and across Birmingham, this year's Gigbeth has been billed as one of the top UK festivals and takes places from 31st October to 4th November 2007.  Stars in DC Gigbeth launched in 2006 as a weekend of free music events incorporating West Midlands musicians. These included a number of genres: indie, pop, classical, jazz, bhangra, reggae, gospel, hip hop, folk and blues. This years event is set to be bigger and better and some of the acts that played there last year include The Twang, Nizlopi, Dirty Pretty Things and Raconteurs. Celebrating local talent like Scott Matthews, Vijay Kishore and Distophia, the music festival is looking for people to get involved behind the scenes.  Vijay Kishore performed at Gigbeth 2006 VolunteeringGigbeth needs 30 volunteers to help work alongside the stewarding team during the festival at various areas of the festival and conference, including front-of-house, backstage duties and marketing. All volunteers need to be older then 18 years old.
