Pebble Mill

The final view from Pebble Mill

Pebble Mill, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's base in Birmingham for thirty years, closed at the end of 2004. Scroll down for the last image captured by the famous building's webcam.

The Pebble Mill studios in Edgbaston staged many Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ shows, most famously the Pebble Mill at One lunchtime chat show, which ran from 1973 to 1986. It launched the television career of gardener Alan Titchmarsh.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's answer to This Morning with Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, Good Morning with Anne Diamond and Nick Owen, also came from Pebble Mill.

Nick is now one of the main presenters of Midlands Today, which comes live from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Birmingham's new base at The Mailbox in Birmingham city centre.

Pebble Mill was demolished in 2005. A 36,000 sq m world-class research and development facility for the medical and healthcare industries is to be built upon the site.
