So says Murdoch, one of the fastest rising indie bands to come out of Birmingham in years. The five piece rock set released their debut mini-album Factory 13 in January 2006 to great success, paving the way for even more exposure. "It sold out. Through that we got a lot of shows and recognition from the likes of Noel Gallagher. It led to a gig in Serbia." The response also led to a one of the album's songs - Behind These Trojan Walls - being chosen by Birmingham City Council to act as the soundtrack for a short-film that they produced to promote the city.

Murdoch are currently in the midst of recording their next album, due out later this year: "It's going to be a bit harder edged with bigger sounding songs. That's the order of the day at the moment - make them sound massive!" The lads have a promising future, with their sights set on the festival scene and continuing to play as many gigs as possible.
