Thousands turned out for the parade

The 2007 Birmingham St. Patrick's Parade officially began at 11:45am on Sunday 11th March 2007.

Thousands flocked to Digbeth to watch the parade travel from Camp Hill to The Bullring and back again, as Brum's Irish population and people of all cultures celebrated in style.

Over 30 floats and 12 bands took part in the parade this year, which was led by former Irish world boxing champion Steve Collins.

The Monaghan Association won the prize for Best Float - a representation of Dublin's Ha'Penny Bridge. The Rathanna Marching Band from Co Carlow scooped the award for Best Band.
