Children in Need '06

ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need Appeal got off to a record breaking start in Birmingham. Take a look at some of the antics of the day, including two world record breaking face painting attempts.

ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need got off to a flying when Phil Upton and Adam from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ WM Breakfast team were dropped off in the middle of Cannock dressed as Andy Pandy and Louby Lou.

They had to use as many modes of transport as possible to get back to The Mailbox. Richard Wilford was dressed as Teddy and presented the Breakfast Show from the studio - even when he did an interview with the new Bishop of Birmingham.

Face painting - new world records set

The Mailbox was buzzing - as just outside the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ a new world record was set.

Rosey Jones broke the 'Most faces painted in an hour by an individual' category'. She has already been in the Guinness Book of Records in 2005 - when she took part in a group face painting attempt. This time she managed to paint 113 faces in one hour.

There were hundreds of school children lined up to help out in getting their faces painted.

Pudsey and Rosey

Kath Monday, Sandra Crofts, Helen Eyre, Rosey Jones and Helen Elvins formed part of the winning team.

They formed a five person team, painting 1,071 faces in 4 hours, using three colours, smashing the previous record of 986.
