Sharing misinformation of all kinds is ubiquitous across Africa. Health hoaxes, fake cures, anti-vaccination messages are all shared, sometimes with the best of intentions across communities, endangering lives with dangerious and incorrect information. Political disinformation is a toxic addition to threats to democracy. For these reasons, Africa has been a priority region in the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔβs fight against so-called βfake newsβ.
