Model of Steam Engine

The McLean Museum and Art Gallery, Greenock is the main museum in the Inverclyde area and has many wonderful collections for the visitor to discover and explore. The displays feature an outstanding art collection, items related to the engineer James Watt, displays on Inverclyde's maritime and industrial traditions as well as world cultures, Egyptology and natural history.

This is an interactive sectional model of double-acting steam engine. The valve allows high-pressure steam to act alternately on both faces of the piston.
