Ellis Palmer

Ellis is a journalist at Newshour on the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ World Service. He can also be seen presenting ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Threeβs The Catch Up bulletin and heard reporting on the early morning news for local and national ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ radio stations.
A wheelchair user with hearing loss, Ellis joined the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ on the Extend in Digital News scheme for disabled journalists in 2017 from Sky Sports and has a broad range of experience at producing and reporting on content for both linear and digital platforms. In his spare time, he can be found cycling around Merseyside or at a Tranmere or Manchester City match.
Ruben Reuter

Ruben Reuter is an actor and presenter from Yorkshire. Ruben plays Finn McLaine, one of the regular characters, in The Dumping Ground (CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ). He also played Shane in Kay Mellorβs The Syndicate (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ One). His other credits include The Puppet Asylum (Sky Arts) and Mobility (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Comedy).
Ruben featured in the documentary My Life: Breaking Free (CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ), before starting his presenting career by reporting for Newsround (CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ). He has presented various reports for Channel 4 News and he co-presented the critically-acclaimed documentary, Disability & Abortion: The Hardest Choice (Channel 4), with Ruth Madeley. Ruben also trains with Ability Dance at Northern Ballet in Leeds.
Lucy Edwards

Lucy Edwards is a blind broadcaster, journalist, content creator, & disability activist. After losing her full eyesight at 17, Lucy made it her mission to share her experiences with the world. Through her infectious personality and her open commentary on life Lucy has amassed an incredible 1.8M followers on TikTok, 707K subscribers with over 350 million views on YouTube, and 145,000 followers on Instagram.
As both a Broadcaster and Journalist Lucy has presented reports for the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ on TV & radio and in 2019 she became the first-ever blind presenter to host on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1. Earlier this year her 2 part ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ documentary βHow Does A Blind Girl Go On Safari?β took the awards ceremonies by storm, winning an RTS Award.
Rosie Baldwin

Rosie is a BAFTA-nominated documentary director and producer, and has made short documentaries for the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ, Channel 4 and Vice. She's directed award-winning films that have screened in cinemas across the UK, as well as at BAFTA, BIFA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals including SXSW, Sheffield DocFest, Aesthetica Film Festival, and LIDF.
Rosie has also worked on sensitive access current affairs films for ITV Exposure, and in collaboration with international charities including Water Aid, The British Red Cross and MAG. In 2018 she was one of Sheffield Doc Fest's 'Rising Directors', and in 2021 was one of Edinburgh TV Festivalβs 'Ones to Watch'.
Hamse Abdilahi

Hamse Abdilahi is a London-based blogger, podcaster with a strong focus on current affairs, social issues, and political urban matters, including topics such as inequality and gentrification. He holds a degree in Sustainable Urban Development from Oxford University and has studied Public Policy at Bristol University.
Hamse also has taken part in mentorship schemes with News UK and ITV and most recently took part in the CNN Diversity Newscast 2023 as an anchor.
