Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

Welcome to Climate Creatives 2023

Take a look back at sessions from our third annual conference exploring the big questions around authentically incorporating climate into our content.

With global emissions still rising, debates continue about how, and how quickly, societies can decarbonise. But from the fall of the Soviet Union to the ubiquity of the smart phone, history is full of examples of abrupt and fundamental change.

So how do systems shift? Is change incremental or exponential? And are there signs of what the future might hold right now? Most crucially for the creative sector – how do we step up and remain relevant?

Climate Creatives 2023 is sponsored by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Chief Content Officer Charlotte Moore, in partnership with the BFI, RTS, albert/BAFTA, Creative UK, Film London, Ffilm Cymru Wales, Northern Ireland Screen, Edinburgh Television Festival, Screen Scotland, Media Cymru, Doc Society and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Studios, and brings the industry together to explore the role of the imagination in inspiring a low carbon future.

Climate Briefing: COP28

Ahead of our main conference, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Climate Editor Justin Rowlatt was joined by Tony Juniper CBE, Chair at Natural England; Camilla Born MBE, former Deputy Director of Strategy for COP26 and Danusia Samal, writer, actor, member of Equity for a Green New Deal, for a look ahead to the upcoming COP28.
