Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ commissions more drama than anyone else in the UK and has the widest remit within British drama broadcasting. Lindsay is responsible for leading this critical genre and delivering distinctive, world-beating content on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer and the portfolio of channels.
  • The slate includes long-running favourites Doctor Who, EastEnders, Casualty, Silent Witness, Call the Midwife, Shetland and Death in Paradise, crime dramas Blue Lights, The Responder, Sherwood and The Jetty, literary adaptations Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, Lord of the Flies, The Night Manager and Mr Loverman, state of the nation dramas including Dear England and The Ministry of Time, and character-led series such as Riot Women, The Dream Lands, Boarders, Reunion and The Split Up.

Lindsay joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ as Director of Drama in September 2022.

Previously she was part of the first UK Scripted team at Netflix, where she helped to establish a new slate and commissioned shows including hit series Baby Reindeer and One Day. She also worked on Heartstopper and The Crown season five.

Prior to that, she was Head of Development at Sky Drama UK, where she ran the development slate for Sky One and Sky Atlantic and worked across developments ranging from The Lazarus Project to The Third Day. Lindsay started her career at Left Bank Pictures where she worked across a range of productions and developments both as a producer and script editor.

Expenses are costs incurred by Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ staff on behalf of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ and claimed through the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's expenses system.

Central bookings are costs incurred on behalf of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ and booked through the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's central bookings system. Both expenses and central bookings are published every three months.
