Sunshine on a Monday morning is a nice helper to make you feel more positive about the week ahead. Lets face it, nobody LIKES getting up in the morning, but it's hard to stay in bed with the sun in your eye.

Reply to my emails, and return calls

On the train home I'm usually reading, or writing songs

I Usually check my Mum and Dad on the way home, then when I get home, there's usually cleaning up to do; I'm so untidy, CD's everywhere!

Dinner - if I can be bothered to cook!

Then there's more work, if I can get on the pc! my brother makes beats so I'm banned from the office when he has a session. Sometimes that's a good thing, as Myspace alone can take a good 3 hours out of my day lol

Then in the evening If i'm not seeing friends, I'm in bed with a DVD!

So there you have it. a typical day in the life of Nesh. Boring innit?!

It's a good thing getting older doesn't bother me. The only bad thing about it is that you get less presents. Remember the days when you would open a card to the wonderful sight of a fiver? (Or two sellotaped pound coins, when times were hard)

Well, next Wednesday, the 11th is my birthday. I'm having ,y party live on-air between Midday and 2 and you're all invited!ÌýÌýYou don't have to send money, but if you'd like to wish me a happy birthday, you could send me a card! Apologies diary readers, ten days since my last entry!

Not good enuff really is it? I suppose you're dying to know what has kept me from updating you?
Well, if I'm honest, I've been feeling a little down in the dumps. Yeah I know I know, but we all feel a little glum sometimes, don't we?
I won't bore you with any sob stories but I will tell you that a good honest chinwag (followed by a good cry) can do wonders. And before you shout 'wuss!', I saw a grown man cry last night on The Apprentice. His reason?ÌýHis teamÌýhad completed their first task of the show.ÌýHe didn't even know if his team had won beforeÌýgetting all emotional! As it turned out, they LOST and to top it off, he got fired!! lol lol I bet he's really crying now.

Ah, I'm not hating, it's just 'schadenfreude'.

That's a new word I learned this week. look it up ;o)

Anyways, like my girl Mary says, enough cryin. I'm fighting fit again!

Ever listen to a song youÌýreally like, and when you hear itÌýyou realise it's been ages since you last heard it? I had one of those moments this weekend when my mate Vanessa put on Brandy's Never Say Never album. Angel In Disguise is a tune!! And the garage remix Wookie did was heavy too!
It's got me thinking I need to have one of those daysÌýwhere I go through my entire Cd & vinyl collection and pull out some tune's I haven't played in a while, like The Lost Boyz' Legal Drug Money or ReleaseÌýSome Tension by SWV... Next time I've got a whole day to myself!

Anyway go grab that dusty Cd from the back of your shelf, put it on, and see what happens ;o)

Ugh, it's SO good to be back. As if being sick isn't bad enough, what the heck is up with daytime TV man?? Who do they make that stuff for? If I'm not at work in the middle of the day, what makes you think I can afford a house in Florence? Although on the flipside, I could probably hold down a successful career in antiques now. It's an extra string to the bow I guess.

I also had a lot of fun with cold callers. You know, those plastic sounding people that call youÌýup and try and sell you something? I invented different ways to annoy them as much as they were annoying me, but this one worked best;

They say: Hello, may I speak to the homeowner please?

They say: The homeowner?
Ìý

Them: Sorry?

Me: Who??

And you just keep goin "who?" and "you" until they get really confused. eventually they say "hello??" at which point I go "Hi! how are you?"

ÌýThe first woman I didÌýit toÌýgot so confused she went silent, at which point I hung the phone up and fell about laughing.

MyÌýrole as 1xtra's Goodwill Ambassador remains intact as we successfully lifted the Monday Morning blues today!

It must have been the music that did it, food for the soul! And we had a helping hand from Collie Budds' Record Of The Week.ÌýHis second contribution to 1xtraÌýthis week as he was in the studio yesterdayÌý hosting the Basement. It was a wicked show which you can now listen to online for the rest of the week.

Wherever you live, gun crime, like any other type of violent crime, is a serious issue. The recent events in South London have definitely made meÌýlook atÌýmy community in the area I live in. How many more people have to die before we find a resolution? Is talking enough? Why has gun culture become such a big part of British life? .

There really is a lot of breaking up going on at the moment! There was a lot of counselling going on in today's chatroom, and not all done by me! There really is a feeling of togetherness in the 12-2 chatroom, and today we enrolled some newbies and welcomed them to the fold!

Chatroom only happens on Wednesday afternoons, so if you missed it, AGAIN, let that be a lesson to you for next week! And if you need some relationship counselling of your own, or better still, think you have some words of wisdom for someone else, you should check out my .

What a nice weekend!Ìý No worrying about sticking to resolutions, because I haven't made any! My aim for 2007 is to be happier and bring happiness to those around me. So far I'm not doing too badly ;o)

But according to TXU, today is the day most couples choose to break up!!! So someone somewhere is NOT feeling the season of goodwill right now. I'm not usually one to discuss my private life... and I'm not gonna start now! lol! but if you and your other half are coming apart at the seams, check G and Charlene for some tips on how to keep the love alive,Ìýor, how to let someone down gently.

The first week of 2007 is coming to a close, and all in all I'm still feeling very positive. I didn't bother to make any resolutions because I'm already trying to fix the things in my life I'm not happy with.

There is one thing that I thought about last year and didn't start - a martial art! I'm thinking tai chi, or kick boxing; I'm still not sure if I need something to calm me down or something to vent my aggression on! I won't know until I give it a try...

I've noticed a few people stressing about studies this already this year - I guess it's hard to look at the next year or so and think you'll be spending most of it revising and passing exams and finishing essays, in fact, I've been there! And I've also been a mature student, so I can say from experience it's better to get it done and out of the way as soon as possible. SoÌýtry your best!ÌýIf you drop out now, you may never find the right time to go back and start again...

But what do I know? I'm not a professional! You can proper help with your studies, and advice atÌý if you need it.

First of all, Happy New Year!!!

My first diary entry of 2007, and so far, it's been a wonderful year! theÌýNYD party in Leeds was off the chain! My Christmas was fab, and theÌýshows were good too! I'm still going through all the galleriesÌýonline,ÌýandÌýchecking out a couple ofÌý shows I missed, including the mixtape awards, did you know I presentedÌýone of those??

Now, staying positive isn't always the easiest thing, so at times when you're happy and smiling it's a good idea to enjoy it and try to keep it going as long as possible. And so,Ìý2007 is officially the season of goodwill! at least between 12 and 2 on 1xtra. So if you're feeling good let me know. and if you're not feeling good, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
